Video seems to suggest it was a car bomb, so Hamas blowing up their own people.

Again.

EDIT: Does Israel even have munitions that small? It looks like a gas tank exploding not a high explosive.

Upvoted, thanks for keeping me grounded. That's compelling. As much blame as I give Israel in all this I don't see that being an air strike after watching countless videos from Ukraine. I think Israel does have low-yield bombs, considering their "roof knockers," and this could be secondary (eg, someone hauling gas/propane.)

Nevertheless I agree Hamas has more to gain in framing Israel here.

Yea, looking at the video again, I think you may be right. It looks too “Hollywood” with the giant fireball. Maybe just a propane tank exploded igniting the contents of the gas tank. Hamas may not have done anything, heard there was an explosion and blamed Israel when the fault could just be poorly maintained equipment.

So all three of you are more knowledgable about missiles and what they look like in video vs the BBC, who has decades of experience in verifying missile strikes?

Sorry ... I'm with the BBC here.

Link to exactly where the BBC calls it an Israeli air strike.

All I’m seeing is “women and children dead in strike” so if you’re seeing it, they walked it back.

At least 12 people, including young children, have been killed after a convoy of vehicles heading toward southern Gaza was hit. The Palestinian Health Ministry has blamed Israel for the attack. The Israel Defense Force (IDF) says it is investigating.

BBC News statement.

the Palestinian Health Ministry is a wing of the hamas organization. of course they're going to say that.

The video is now gone. So what was it?
