Pretty sure people like Stalin, Zhukov, and Beria all predicted exactly this. In fact Lenin and Marx wrote about it a lot too.
It’s not correct to say that “Critical theory” descends from Marxism but like, it does.
What is critical theory?
It’s pretty vaguely defined but in a nutshell it’s when some mix of Marxism, psychoanalysis, and Hegelian philosophy of ideals is used to investigate society and culture with critical eye to power structures and how power structures can be very hidden and unconscious.
