Same, but for me it was listening to this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e8P9TaEIWjw a while ago that really changed my mind. Before, I thought the war on terror was a very opportunistic endeavor that most Americans only went along with because it was the solution the government put in front of them. But I was wrong, the islamophobia runs a lot deeper and people were calling for genocide minutes after the second plane hit.
