out of all the different ways to order dates americans somehow ended up on the least consistent, weirdest one possible and i infinitely resent them for making me double check dates 24/7 on the internet

It still does. If I name files with day month year, they don't sort properly.
Either year month day, or month day year. I like the former because its makes more sense going from big to small.
YMD is nice, it frontloads the most unique part. Hadn’t considered that option.
It works great as a naming convention. Weird as fuck to say to someone though lol
