By ending the cases rather than waiting to be fired, Smith may be able to issue a final report to the public.

What a sad day. What this situation tells me is that if you're nominated to run for president, you're free to commit crimes and nothing will happen to you because reasons. Glad the system is working as intended.

Just if you've got enough following in general. All these cases could have started a lot earlier but Biden/Garland wanted to avoid "looking political".

I think you have to be elected at least once.
