Thinking about buying some fairy lights for my room, is aliexpress alright? I don't have experience buying electronics from there so I'm not sure of good strategy to make sure its electrically safe
I wouldn't really worry about it, I got mine from Aliexpress and they've been going strong for a couple of years. Everything on every other web store is drop shipped from Aliexpress these days anyway. If you have pets, try to keep them out of reach/away from the ground so they don't chew on the little strands of wire that the lights are attached to and you will be fine!
Thanks!
All the fairy lights/Christmas lights I've had for decorating just burn out at worst if they quit working, I'm not an electrician but I'm pretty sure unless you have a fucked up outlet or bad wiring in the walls it's fine (don't overload a single outlet with a ton of strings of lights all linked from the same outlet though, that's probably not an issue unless you're like completely covering the walls in lights chained together from one outlet though)
