It's one of the things I gave up when I transitioned. My friends didn't, they wore their girl bulge proudly but went to lgbt swim nights instead. I actually really liked swimming, I used to go for fun or as a date night with my ex... it was a big sacrifice. It's nice to get it back though!

About the tuck tape? It's just a thing you buy lol. You can't go to the bathroom cause it uh covers everything up and loses it's stick-to-it-ness if you take it off once. It's like a proper tight tuck too, gotta do the whole stuffing up of the gemini twins lol
gotcha. mines uh... small enough now that it doesnt cause many issues but tight swimwear is usually an issue if it isnt very thick
The tape is also waterproof, which I guess is pretty important for swimming
