Yea those soaps operas don't play.
Do you have any suggestions for Egyptian movies/music? Only one I know is the singer Hakim since a shop owner where I grew up would play his music.
There is Umm Kulthum and Abdel Halim Hafez, they are the most famous singers in the history of Egypt, and there is a movie, Sons of Rizk, which is wonderful.
