I mean the dude's a very slightly left-leaning neoliberal economist at Princeton so let's not give him too much credit. He's mostly pissed at all the "Jamaicans like smoking weed" references his daughter keeps making.
It's like Buttigieg's dad, people hear Marxist and think some sort of radical, instead of a boringly standard academic in history or economics.
Wild isn't it, imagine having a daughter who first gained notoriety for her brutal ""tough on crime"" policies which imprisoned people (predominantly black and other POC though that's obvious) for weed, and then made a 180° turn to becoming the most annoying "weed, bro"
stereotype panderer.
It isn't the most infuriating thing that she's done, but it's up there.
