In 8^th^ grade my social studies teacher showed The Notebook to the class to help teach us about WWII. The movie had less than 5 minutes of content about the war; the rest was only tangentially related at best because it was set in that time period.

To learn about xylem and phloem in biology we were made to stand in a circle, split into two groups (xylem and phloem) and act out the functions of xylem and phloem. I don’t remember exactly what we had to do, I just remember there was a lot of hand-waving and squatting
