Why fuck Hulu? They're the ones that picked up the new season.
They had ads in streaming before anyone else. Netflix and (I think) Disney copied them, but they were first. I'll never give them money.
...they had a cheaper ad-subsidized tier that you could opt-out of by subscribing to a more expensive ad-free tier?
That's why you're upset?
I think I get it. You think everything should be free to you and you're entitled to people giving things and services to you for free and you don't think things cost money to you specifically. That's fine. It's disconnected from reality and I'm sure you'll justify your actions in any way possible, but it's not hurting me.
No, I think I should pay a price and not get ads. If it has to cost more, so be it. Ads are to be avoided at all costs. They offer me no value.
...you do pay a price and not get ads. There's a base subscription and there's an ad-subsidized cheaper plan. The cheaper plan is made cheaper by advertising.
I don't understand your complaint here, you literally have an option to pay a higher price for no ads.
Like I said, it's very clear that you're out of touch with what's actually happening in the real world. You do you and try to rationalize your actions in any way you will, but you're just a leach. A common parasite like a tick or a mosquito.
@some_guy @BettyWhiteInHD the ads are very important to Disney /Hulu. I subscribed to ESPN+ and added the Disney/Hulu bundle. It's the adverts Disney. It turns out Disney won't air the adverts package on Roku, only the no ads streaming channel. Which implies the two companies probably had a argument about who gets the advertising revenue. We had to go to the smart TV to watch the adverts Disney.
