I've just found this article about Futurama on The Independent, a UK newspaper. It comments on the changes in Futurama reflecting the changes in society in general.

No, I think I should pay a price and not get ads. If it has to cost more, so be it. Ads are to be avoided at all costs. They offer me no value.

...you do pay a price and not get ads. There's a base subscription and there's an ad-subsidized cheaper plan. The cheaper plan is made cheaper by advertising.

I don't understand your complaint here, you literally have an option to pay a higher price for no ads.

Like I said, it's very clear that you're out of touch with what's actually happening in the real world. You do you and try to rationalize your actions in any way you will, but you're just a leach. A common parasite like a tick or a mosquito.
