Fun fact: if the girl punched with the same velocity as a mantis shrimp, her arm would have come out of her shoulder socket joint.
I can see how that would be slightly disadvantageous for the second fight, yes.. ๐ค
Well she got 2 arms, doesn't she? :>
Sure looks like It. On the other hand (pun intended), as far as I'm informed, most boxers actually need to use BOTH arms in order to win..
Not if you punch with the velocity if a mantis shrimp
Gotta be a pretty crazy opponent to not just concede after seeing this fight.
But then again, whoever comes up for the 3rd fight will have it easy
The good thing is if she can land the punch, a second fight won't be necessary :D
Except a championship usually consists of more than one fight.. Unless she's already the defending champion or top challenger.
In which case she probably could have won fairly ๐คท
I think if my opponent removed the head of their last challenger and still had an arm left, Iโd back out of that fight. I imagine next in line would too
Depends: you could have been trained by immortal Chinese sorcerer Lo Pan, evening the odds out somewhat ๐
Time to learn from the crustacean how to grow arms as well
If I had a nickel for every time I'd been given that exact advice from a well-meaning boxing expert..
I'd have two nickels-- which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.
Aren't the strong body parts what allows them to punch so fast? Therefore if she was able to punch so fast her body should be fine as well
I would be inclined to agree with you, but shoulder dislocation during a punch is not uncommon in boxing. There was a viral video regarding this where the boxer dislocated his arm due to the sheer force of his punch (missed the opponent), the coach put it back in, and then went on fighting in the same round.
But if she hit the target, which hopefully had enough resistance, all she would have is a comminuted fracture.
Since she's larger than a mantis shrimp, I'd be inclined to scale up the speed accordingly.
Speeds scale up in their technology using advanced geometries we don't fully understand today.
