Dunking on protestors "not being effective" is just the worse. It might be useless to you, but to many it is a useful launching point of some meaningful discussions.

It's about the narrative that there are outside agitators rallying the protest, but virtually all of the arrests are of students 🧐
That would hurt his fundraising though.
I think "every time" could be read in different ways.
Speaking of books, have you ever read the Earthsea series? The way you talk about things reminds me of how in Earthsea things have a true name by which you can call and have them send towards your will. The trick is that some people have more then one true name and that, I think, is metaphor for how we can escape being manipulated when someone (or AI) learns our nature.
Don't worry, we'll all be too busy reacting to actually take the time to reflect and learn something.
It's ACAB not ACAP (all cops are pigs). ACAB doesn't dehumanize police, it is a statement that says the institution itself is rotten and makes bastards out of well intending people. Some people do dehumanize police, and often when they do, they point to the inhumane acts of the police force at large.
We don’t see black empowerment in China or a pride parade in Iran.
Sir, this is a Wendy's.
If you voted for "harm reduction" then I'm not sure why you're disappointed.
DEI requirements is not nepotism, but let's take on the core issue I think you brought up: meritocracy. If you show me two people with the same level of skill and experience, I would say the one that came from the most disadvantaged environment is more qualified because they were able to get to the same level with less support.
But you brought in numbers, let me do the same. L Consider that the minority group you mentioned actually has greater barriers to participate, so those 10 people might actually perform better than 80% of the 1000 of the majority group. Assuming both groups have the same distribution of merit is a fallacy.
I agree entirely that Russia is liberating Ukraine like they did with Georgia... if you replace liberating with vassalizing.
Just because you're not prepared to talk about the protests in a way that gives traction to the issue doesn't make the protestors wrong.
