It was wild to see how fast the hype around her candidacy deflated. Admittedly, I got wrapped up in it up until I heard her talk for the second time.

What does Bush Jr have to do with this? More seriously, Are you going to publish this somewhere?

Not in picture: a burning freight train is hurling towards our trolley and will overtake us if we loose any momentum from running over the children.

I have a different username, hopefully it doesn't offend you somehow. Let me give you an example of what the other person meant: credit cards have replaced large parts of our social safety nets. We think of the convenience but we aren't told how convenient credit was argued as a substitute for welfare programs. Now I'm getting ads to have groceries delivered on credit.

The revolution will not be televised. Can't imagine that metaphor coming up on 60 minutes.

Biden has been improving his position, but he needs encouragement. That is why I say there are Democrats not in picture: a bunch of us are still protesting and writing. The letter responses have improved from "we need to take out Hamas" to "we we're working with coalitions to get aide in".

Hold up, you think I like the idea of Biden being around longer in our politics? Cause I don't.

This so much. Getting mad at voters is like getting mad at the weather. These outcomes are predictable and statistical in nature and are influenced by a myriad of interacting systems. Get to work on those systems and be ruthless towards them, but be kind towards people.

It's more like choosing your enemy then a business transaction.

Any of those Never-Trump Republicans going to vote for Biden? They seem to be very silent.

[–] zbyte64@awful.systems 4 points 7 months ago

There's more then one problem: the Democrats that support a cease fire are not in frame because they're not sitting at home watching Biden.

I'm voting for Biden, but I'm under no illusion that neo liberals can fix fascism. Seeing Macron faulter to a more powerful Le Pen should serve as a warning to progressives.
