I think the main problem we’re having is that you can’t migrate accounts yet. It’s a pain to restart on a new instance. Hopefully this’ll get worked out soon!

The more I learn about the fediverse the more advantages I see. If something goes wrong it's actually possible to move to another instance.
As a sort of workaround you could create the community on a new account and then add your current account as a mod
