They basically force you to use snaps, that's why it's not good.

They also have ads in the package manager.

I personally use Wayland on my NVIDIA laptop, with no issues.

Linux runs perfectly on my 2019 Asus Zenbook pro duo with Nvidia, that I bought before knowing what Linux is ¯⁠\⁠_⁠(⁠ツ⁠)⁠_⁠/⁠¯

Even the numberpad embedded in the touchpad works, and I made a script that remaps the extra hotkeys. The f-key hotkeys also work out-of-the-box, and so does the touchscreen and suspend (sometimes it takes a minute to start after suspend, but it does start). The only thing that doesn't work is the pen, but it used to, so I guess the pen hardware broke
