Same here, I strongly disliked Capenna and Murders and I really hated to see Thunders previews.

When the Brother's War and the Dominaria United sets were released, they fell back behind my expectations - I immediately compared them with my all time favorites Tempest and Urza blocks (flavor wise). But then, compared with Thunder Junction I think the "new" Urza sets are really good...

Why does everything have to be shiny and sparkly? Give me Phyrexian Colossus, Spirit of the Night or Volrath instead of humanized demons in cowboy hats or suits please.

I am also from Germany. Political and cultural developments that happen in the US will in some form arrive in Europe with a delay of about 10 years, at least that is how I often felt.

Mein Lieblingsplakat heute: "Ich liebe CO2"

Way to go, Bauern. Es geht euch natürlich um nachhaltige Wirtschaftspolitik und nicht um Ideologie gegen dIe GrÜnEn.

Nein, nicht alle über einen Kamm, aber da werd ich schon sauer.

Bass Player here, I am pretty confident this is a flute.

Genau mein Gedanke.

Yeah I got that impression from the other comments. I might go back to just that part for the hell of it. Seems to be kind of a meme.

Yeah I don't know, I remember something about extra super steel in the beginning, where it was kind of like "assertive entrepreneur makes eggheads do the impossible". That is just not how anything in engineering works at all. Was kind of a turn-off for me also.

But I am glad that this stuff made it into a cool train story for you. I like your sentiment.

Started reading Atlas a couple of months ago and put it aside after a third or so. I am used to reading "conventionally boring" stuff but this was such a slog. Super sterile, the characters are stereotypical, the message Rand wants to bring across seems awfully clear very early on. It may be the historical context that makes it more interesting, I didn't see it, though. Just couldn't do it.

Reading your comments on this thread is a relief, maybe there is nothing wrong with me after all.

I laughed hard enough to realize I lost too much life time to Excel.

I don't understand either. Not having any "social media features" like a profile site or "karma" is a big plus for me. I use my account for access and saving links, that's all I expect.
