When I used to help people pick colors the primary advice I gave them was that once it’s on the wall you will never see the difference between the four shades of [color] you’re looking at because at scale your brain blends it in with the lighting and ambient color of the rest of the room.
Sheen makes more of a difference, and the answer is always satin/eggshell for living spaces and gloss for kitchens and bathrooms (because it’s more moisture resistant and washable). Flat can go fuck itself, it only exists as a cheap option for track homes who don’t care about your paint looking good for more than six months.

I dislike the narrative that you can’t be happy as an adult. Yeah having nothing to do and no responsibilities was cool, but I would not trade what I have now to have it back.
Adult me has an awesome wife and kids, good friends, hobbies that I wouldn’t have dreamed of as a kid, a tool bench full of fun power tools, and freedom to use my free time basically however I want.
I am way happier as an adult than I was as a teenager.

You’re getting pushback here because you’re conflating two entirely different scenarios—capital punishment and assisted suicide—without clarifying that you understand the difference. I can understand what your intent might be but you’re using the same arguments that proponents of capital punishment are using to claim this is a good way to execute people.
It comes off as “no, these people aren’t suffering” instead of “it really sucks that these people are suffering, the arguments for it being humane don’t apply to this scenario and we should stop doing it” (which is what I want to believe you mean).
