I was thinking the same, but then again taking a long time to put games out isn't the same as putting out broken games. I mean rdr, rdr2, and gtav are stellar games that launched without any glaring faults iirc. Taking time is fine as long as we get a complete product.

The 'known space' universe by Larry niven has humans at least as sort of equal. Lower than some life forms, but on par or higher than some.
I recommend starting with the ringworld series.
Warhammer 40k also has humans as a dominant species from what I've gathered. I've tried to get into the lore, but it's massive amounts and no clear "start here" so Iv'e just picked up snippets.
Isolate the boy with a wife to only seed one plant, but you're not going to get only feminized seeds so it's a bit of work on the next grow, and it really sucks if you happen to only plant boys one round 😅
