Audio guy here… I honestly don’t know of any PCI cards. The main problem is the connecter for these types of mics is too big to fit on a card like that. The Focusrite is awesome bang for your buck. I would try to hide it behind your desk. There’s no reason really for you to keep it on top.

If you’re that concerned about having an extra piece of hardware on your desk, you could try something like a high quality USB mic. I like the Shure MV7. But there are a ton like them if you search for mics made for podcasting.

You need a separate app to prevent Apple Music from opening?

My concern is when things get heated, will he fall back on what he’s always done? Hopefully there’s someone on staff that keeps him in check.

Does it break anything if you delete the Apple Music app?

They conveniently leave out the fact that the people that develop Lemmy have no say in how it’s used. That’s kind of the point of the fediverse. And it’s open source, so if they go off the rails, someone else can pick it up.

The fact that it just takes you to an excel spreadsheet is one of the more stupid things I’ve seen.

Like, the game knows there’s an incompatible mod. You can’t just tell me which one it is?

That being said, sometimes you can just hit the x and the game will run fine.

I saw an ad for some new Crash Bandicoot game that was pushing a battle pass. I couldn’t help but thinking they’ve jumped the shark with this shit.

I just threw up in my mouth a little.

It’s that exact reason why I could never get into twitter or Instagram beyond personal friends. I want to follow topics, not people.

I had a ton of subreddits curated on my homepage, a lot of which were rather niche. I’m not super optimistic that most of them will be replaced, which is sad.

I’m still getting a lot of repeats. Like, every time the feed fetches a new page, at least half of the posts are the same.
