However h264 rips in Usenet lack in quality from my perspective.

How so, its basically the same content (same releases).

Glad if you can advice on cheaper solutions.

You are right the prices of usenet providers went up everywhere, but you still can get Frugal for $40 a year. That's an unlimited subscription of course, unlike file hosters.

And good private trackers!

See here to start

Are you mixing up uploaders and release crews?

Only for NFLX for the last decade or so, I would had cancelled that subscription years ago, but the guys I share my account with insist in keeping that Netflix account.

I have absolutely no idea why. I haven't watched Netflix in years myself. Well I pay 10 bucks a month for Netflix and the other guys are paying me 12 bucks a month, so this useless subscription costs me -2 bucks every month.

For me pirating is more convenient than watching the very same stuff on Netflix, especially since Netflix stopped working on some of my devices...

The first question would be if you have any experience in torrenting in general and private trackers in particular?

Some trackers are notorious hard to join or even completely closed, however others have open signups or application signups. You are also missing some German private trackers in your list.

Some German private trackers like the already mentioned World-of-Tomorrow or SpeedTorrent Reloaded or The Shinning allow application signup, if you are already experienced in trackers. For other trackers like Immortuous one can signup on their forums and apply for an invitation. Just visit their sites and look for an application/signup link.

Your question is too generic to provide more helpful answers.

Some of these players even skipped the unskippable intros and always started at the main menu. The best thing for legit buyers and enthusiasts back in the day. And don't forget the (S)VCD support and DivX/Xvid support. Good old times.

I have to disagree on the movie/shows part here. IMHO Usenet is way cheaper than this horrible file hosters. And one needs more than one file hoster too. There are also plenty of German private torrent trackers out there. File hosters lack automation, it's just horrible annoying to download everything by hand and solve Captchas all day AND EVEN PAY FOR THIS EXPERIENCE.

I stopped using public trackers back in 2006, went to private trackers only back then. I still can't understand why are still so many ppl using public trackers.

I really enjoy the specialized PTs. You are looking for an ebook? MAM's the way. Music? RED or OPS it is. Easy but great.
