its the speed of the change innit. for example, the fact that google power requirements has increase 50% in the last year must have a tremendous impact.

not trying to be combative, but this grumpy response over a 5min read does illustrate something and i hope its trolling tbh. the tldr summary that is triggering here is kinda a key point of the article - people looking for a quick interaction and then moving on.

its the point where people say "but a sneaky vpn will get around so we may as well do nothing" is equivalent to "my friend can buy me a sneaky drink so we may as well do nothing"... just because you can exploit a law doesn't make it invalid. enforcement concerns are valid, but it seems reasonable to start with "i agree there is a problem" and go for the 80% rule

technology related muscle memory? once people learn a thing, its hard to convince them to relearn something new ... especially when you "are just doing the same thing anyway".

ah, i get it. thanks. i was thinking that the insurance mentioned would be part of what the government is providing, not a for-profit bizness. essentially what you are suggesting also :)

im genuinely trying to understand your concern.. is it as simple as that you dont want to contribute your money to a greater good?
