It's been one week since ~~you looked at me~~ Baldur's Gate was released. How are you enjoying the game? What are your general thoughts, impressions, and complaints? Has the game lived up to the hype for you?

This is so stupid and I love it.

Ah, the Disco Elysium style of rpg

I considered doing them on different days, but even then...I'm just too weak for a 3 hour movie with no breaks, haha.

But I hope you enjoy Oppenheimer in theaters! I'm sure it'll be an amazing experience.

i was planning to see both in theaters this weekend, but then I realized that Oppenheimer is 3 hours long. So it's just Barbie for me, and I'll watch Oppenheimer when it gets to streaming.

Ahh, that makes way more sense. Thanks for explaining!

TIL! So if you replace "whence" with "from where", is "go back to from where you came" grammatically correct?

Also, you're answer prompted me to search, and I found this neat answer about the history of whence vs from whence; apparently from whence has been (mis)used for centuries!

Go back to whence you came

Question: is "to whence" allowed/correct? I thought "whence" always goes with "from"?

Well, luckily I ordered Tress too and was planning to start with that one! Of the two, which did you like better?

I'm reading Godkiller by Hannah Kaner. I was engrossed right from the prologue, and it's been hard whenever I've had to put the book down!

Hope it's good! I decided to order the fancy hardcover edition the other day, so I'm waiting until it arrives to read this one. I'm excited, though!
