The archive.ph link isn't in https (in Firefox), hence taking a really long time to resolve, don't ask me why.

Thanks for the article, wf! 👍

While I'm sorry to hear about your surgery and wish you a speedy recovery...

gooned up on a variety of painkillers. It was a delightful experience

...I can't imagine a more delightful way to see this film! Cheers!

Aptos: grotesque/neo-grotesque, more in common with Helvetica/Arial.

Calibri: humanist, squarely in the Frutiger ~~knockoff~~ family.

Link sausage

Tangential: strange though how brief Calibri's reign as default font was, even after the US Government declared it the official document font (replacing Times New Roman) by resident typography expert, Antony J. Blinken.

Without the VFX those movies would’ve been trash

Are you saying that with VFX those movies aren't trash?? 🤣

Relax, everybody! I'm joking! (I work in VFX).

As I commented in another thread regarding TCM, how much could this channel cost? Is their audience 23 people nationwide? The library itself is now owned by WBD, barring the eternal legal c🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬k that is IP, so that can't be too big of an issue. The staff, including the presenters and writers (who probably get scale), has to be maybe 20-50 people. Sorry for veering into rant territory but I just can't understand the "logic."

Just "spitballing" here...

If the message is edited for typos/grammatical errors, then there's really no need for a notification as the message displays the posted time in italics (e.g., ✏ 9 hours ago).

If the message is so reworked as to say something else, "Bob" (your example) should do the right thing and post a new, separate reply to "Alice" in the same thread, donchathink?

I get what you're saying though, that there should be some real integrity toward post/reply history, like diff maybe.

Thanks for the tip! Oh, and regarding your question: didn't somebody already do that with Nord Stream One last year? 🤔
