Hi. Could someone point me to communties where people gather, ask, and post resources for improving one’s resumé/CV?

And if possible, communities that post work/job opportunities especially remote ones?

Bioinformatics, Linked and Open data, Part-time operations associate jobs

You could try grafting it. It’s been a while since I last grew avocado plants, but I would graft them, especially because it will help them produce fruits later on.

I like it. No FREAKING ADS disguised as posts/comments. I was late to know third party apps exists for lots of things, so being aware of lemmy has changed my browsing habits on other platforms i.e looking for alternatives that work or have a model that I don’t feel too conflicted about (which honestly makes me happier). It’s the right amount of silent and busy for me. I’m just hoping for elephant-obsessed people (among other niche communities) to exist/gain a medium level of traction (frankly, even a basic amount would be okay). I also like that its name sounds like LET ME/ LEMME (lemme do what anything I want as long as it doesn’t harm the next person).

I had two months to make an application, I spent all of summer in my room on my bed, with the occasional psych-appointment (on the rare chance I didn’t cancel). So because it’s quite urgent that I submit this, my mind is shutting down, feeling sleepy despite sleeping all day, locked in my room, it’s quite warm but I feel terribly cold. I can’t ask what do I do, because I know what I need to do: just do the application! But for some reason, my mind does not want to. Like I have this IDGAF attitude when a lot is at stake if I don’t submit this application.

I’ve got no one to talk to because I don’t want to and I don’t have the energy to lie or smile. I even feel like a fraud claiming that I’m feeling apathetic because I hate this state. And hate is an emotion. I hate that I have all these memories of the person I used to be, before all this. I was punctual, less feeling, organised and my motivation run deep. Now I’m not even a shell of who I was, I don’t even aim to be like I was. I’m just aaaaaarregh.

Edit:

So after yoyoing between pitying myself and being disappointed, I took a walk, then got on the tram. Was a lot less anxious when I returned, I just did the application. The walk honestly was motivated by you guys. I feel so hypocritical that I tell this to my closest friend and my sister when this mood hits, but I can’t tell it to myself. Also, I’m still cold, but I’m okay with it because the anxiety of the application is gone now that I have submitted it (I don’t expect much from it, pessimist here, but I’m relieved it’s over and done with). Thank you. I even rescheduled my appointment, and took doses as prescribed (I’ve been intentionally missing my doses as I don’t feel any better).

I was initially going to get Bluetooth earbuds, but was recently informed of IEMs. They sound appealing and worth their cost so I’d like to try em. My requirements are durability and (less than 50 euros), and something that blocks out the world. Kindly advise.

I would mostly use them to listen to music on Spotify (iphone), or my Walkman.

If there is a pair that would cost 20 euros, kindly suggest as I would like to get one for my sister.

TLDR: KIndly suggest good pair of IEMs in the nor more than 50 euros range, and not more than 20 euros range.

If possible, apart from price difference, would you know what differs between the Truthear Hola, Truthear Zero Blue and Truthear Zero Red? I’m looking to purchase IEMs (not so much knowledge on them), and was advised to get Truthear because it’s apparently one of the quality ones for my budget.

Thanks. I think I get it now. I have been using voyager, followed the instructions and always wondered how it installs despite not being on the appstore. From how you’ve explained it, it seems to be less taxing on the phones computing resources, right?

What does PWA mean? I see it alot and never know what it stands for.

It doesn’t come up, the option to save to photos. Actually, long pressing it the photo does nothing

How do I save/download a picture on the app on iOS?

Oh yeah. My goldfish brain forgot I could have asked chatgpt, even with it’s random inconsistencies. Thanks for the reminder (I’m not being sarcastic btw)

Bookmarked this. Thank you.

Wow. This. Exactly this. The code looks straightforward. I was too worried for nothing. I thought I had to have like proper proper computer/data science knowledge for it, but the here has given me something to do while I struggle with another sleepless night. Thanks

Righty. Thanks

Could someone point me to communities of the following if they exist:

  • Reuse, Upcycling and/or Repurposing
  • Knowledge graphs and/or Semantic Web
  • Steganography

Thanks in advance :)

So, plainly, my questions are what know-how do I need to make one and if I ultimately can make one, how do I integrate it into a platform? E.g how did the pipedbot link I got to see, get integrated into lemmy in the comments section?

So, I just discovered something called piped because a lemmy bot linked a YouTube video to it. My familiarity with privacy and FOSS is a bit naïve, but I’d like to build more on it. I’ve seen similar bots when I was on reddit, ones that would give links to a mentioned song, or the moderator ones (I’m assuming the AutoMod thing is a bot too).

Could someone possibly walk me through how to make one? This might be irrelevant/relevant info: I’m familiar with knowledge graphs, SPARQL, a tiny tiny tiny bit of SQL, python and R (mostly because of school).

Also, apart from links, moderation, and chats on customer service websites, where would a non-techy apply it? Even if it’s just for personal use.

I know I could duckgogo this, but I prefer dynamic walkthroughs/explanations I can get here.
