I get where you're coming from – but truth be told my issues with new star trek aren't actually that Discovery is too "boom boom boom". If DIS is that, then so is Wrath of Khan, so is TNG The Best of Both Worlds, so is the best parts of DS9.

Then again, maybe you include Star Trek II in "movies". In which case, I respect the consistency.

Oh for fucks sake. Its literally like he's drunk on power and has stopped giving a shit. This scene would have saved the episode for me. The dance sequence was the ONE part I couldn't get over.

@dan I'm holding out hope that they'll do a recast of Kor, Kang, and/or Koloth and show them with flat foreheads, and then have L'Rell show up with the s2 Discovery look.
