Recently met the librarian at kid's school and he recommended me Hardy Boys as the next series to start (for the kid). Glad to see it still holds up well.

I guess I never going to read that then. ๐Ÿ˜€

What are the other two?

[โ€“] dresden 1 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

It's also sci-fi? Or some other genre?

And offtopic, but curious, do random people send you pics after seeing your nick?

Ignoring the relation to current events, how's the book?

[โ€“] dresden 1 points 2 weeks ago

That sounds interesting, will check it out. Thanks for the recommendation!

And I'll definitely take you up on that offer. Going to check out Karen Rose and Stephanie Plum first to see how I like them.

Ahan, thanks for the info. I still have couple of series to go through before getting it, hopefully this would be finished by then.

[โ€“] dresden 3 points 2 weeks ago

Heh, I wonder how many Wind and Truth comments we will get this week.

[โ€“] dresden 2 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

375 hours. I wonder how long it will take you to go through them. Three months?

Between Miss Fortune and Shaye Archer (and her other series) which one would you recommend as introduction to her writing?

[โ€“] dresden 1 points 2 weeks ago

Nice! Thanks for the info!

I am really enjoying it. I am about 2/3rd done, and as I mentioned last week, I had forgotten most of the stuff. So, really enjoying everything going on. And while I remember the ending of the book, I don't recall how exactly they get there.

I haven't even read David Copperfield, how is it?

lol at suburban mom's humblebragging. Good luck!

Wow, and I thought i bought too much when I bought 11 books.

I didn't buy Wind and Truth though, still have to re-read the whole series, so will be a while before I get around to it. Will get it soon-ish though.w

How are the Kinsey Milhone books? I have A, B and F. Wanted to read A and B to see if I like it before getting more.

Bought couple of books for my young one, and just read through them.

  • Read Race to the Rescue By Zanib Mian, book 2 of her "Meet the Maliks - Twin Detective". It's kinda like The Wimpy Kid, but about twin Muslim kids and their family.
  • Read The Stonekeeper by Kazu Kibuishi. Book 1 of Amulet series. A 9 book series of graphic novels for kids.

What about all of you? What have you been reading or listening lately?

And how many of you are taking part in our Books Bingo? Any progress yet?

It has a bit more people than here, but they are lurker like us, so there isn't much content, but if enough of us are in one place, maybe one day some of us will start posting. ๐Ÿ˜€

So, do join !bulletjournal@discuss.online and share your bujo!

What do you think about the list? Anything you would like to change / add / remove?

Reading Three Days to Never by Tim Powers. The premise is pretty interesting, can't wait to see where he takes it.

As mentioned last week, @JaymesRS@literature.cafe and @misericordiae@literature.cafe are working on something related to Bingo card for books.

Keep your eyes peeled, just one week (or so) to go.

Also, welcome @JaymesRS@literature.cafe as a newly minted mod of this community!

Now to topic at hand, what have you been reading or listening lately?

Didn't get time to read at all this week, so still at the same place as last week.

  • Reading Three Days to Never by Tim Powers. A standalone sci-fi book.

Some of you may remember the post about Bingo card a little while back? Well, @JaymesRS@literature.cafe and @misericordiae@literature.cafe are cooking something up, which we will unveil in upcoming weeks.

Stay tuned!

Without further ado, what have you been reading or listening lately?

Finished Starsight by Brandon Sanderson. Second book in Cytoverse series. Loved the way the series progressed, though didn't liked the post-ending much. Going to start the novella soon.

Started Three Days to Never by Tim Powers. It's a standalone sci-fi. Don't remember who recommended Tim Powers or when, but he was mentioned in my list, so got couple of his books. I have just started the book, something is happening, but I am not sure what, so no idea what to think about it yet. Let's see how it turns out.

What about all of you? What have you been reading or listening lately?
