Thank you! I had a rough idea of a layout when I started, but this was very much an organic sketch, about ninety percent "just roll with it".

This started as a quick pencil sketch / fantasy cartography exercise; the line work was added as an afterthought. Approximately 8 x 7 cm.

My favorite example of this happened during a D&D game years ago in which the DM kept pronouncing the word portcullis as PORK-YOO-LISS.

To this day, the word causes the image of some sort of ancient Roman pig gladiator to appear unbidden in my mind.
