Those billionaires will flee until its safe to come back, don't be naive. We will suffer the most. Civil War is what the rich would benefit from.

I'm not understanding how lemmy doesn't have karma when there's still the upvote/downvote function and profiles still mark how many votes you got for comments and posts.

Edit: Someone asked what app I'm using but I can't find the comment. I'm using Connect for Lemmy

But not one of those super spiky ones, but the ones that have tiny hairs that are impossible to get out of your skin when you accidentally touch the cactus and hurt everytime you bump them wrong.

I honestly figured they were already doing this.

When we got union's, when we got LGBT rights, when women got the right to vote, when black people got the right to be seen as equal human beings (its a work in progress), and pretty much any other successful protest around the world. Pick one.

I dont understand how people who eat meat every single day don't feel disgusting. I feel horrible eating meat every day. I have more energy and feel lighter when I limit my meat eating to maybe once or twice a week. Plus my farts don't smell as awful when I'm eating mostly plant based things. It's cheaper too! Especially when I end up growing my own garden.

If you want to live a more peaceful and safe life, that's totally okay, but it's probably better that YOU looked into a new place to live rather than expecting society to adapt to your needs.

I didn't get diagnosed ADHD until I was 27. I would have had the chance when I was in kindergarten, but my parents fiercely held onto the negative stigmas associated to mental health care. They regularly screamed at me asking if I wanted to go to the fucking loony bin doctor or will I get my act together and behave. I finished high-school with C's and B's on the report card, then I dropped out of college. How would I have done if my parents would have listened to my teacher when she told them she suspected I had ADHD?

Acknowledging that children are dying in situations they shouldn't even be in is sensationalist, didn't you know? We can't be making people feel things, that's rude.

While you are making a good point, at least there was a line and they caught on.
