You were right. I found the trending sub channel and found a swathe of content.

Definitely part of it for sure. Part of a larger machine to weaken and stupefy the population.

The system has been eroded by the right for a reason. The "left" are too busy pandering to a voter base that doesn't like them, so they let it happen.

An uneducated population gives the right two things, more voters due to lack of critical thinking skills and unskilled/underpaid labor. The less the voter understands the more bullshit you can feed them. Destroying education, demonizing established institutions and damning any form of knowledge is a key strategy of the right. And look, it fuckin worked. Younger kids pivoted right. The "left" keeps making excuses as to why, but it's glaringly obvious that it's their broken education. 21% of Americans are illiterate. Let that sink in.

Exactly this. The "left" has consistently shifted right to pander to voters who don't like them. They've positioned themselves to be lame ducks across the board. Their "moderate" stance is basically taking it up the ass when someone tells them to assume the position. Kamala was/is and will always be weak. Biden was a do-nothing geriatric patient who was too afraid to even defend an ally, Ukraine.

The "left" have shifted right so hard Nixon would run as a fucking democrat.

People are quick to forget the second amendment exists for situations like this.

"A well regulated Militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed."

"being necessary to the security of a free State" being the key point here. I find it ironic that every time anyone tries to pass any gun legislation the right cry foul saying they need to defend themselves from a tyrannical government. Then literally elect an outspoken tyrant. Neo-liberals (diet conservatives basically) are so busy jerking themselves off about how great they are, forgot why the second amendment exists. Despite all the cries for help, scared of fascism, they did nothing to actually prepare for the perceived threat. If it came down to it, toe to toe, left vs right, they'd get slaughtered. They're afraid of guns.

Now am I saying we need a violent coup d'etat? Nah. But some people are wholly convinced Trump is going to go full on fascist. Do things like invoke the insurrection act, declare martial law and suspend habeas corpus. To those people, y'all need to rethink your stance on arms. If it's coming and you want to stop that freight train? That's war. And you're not ready.

Tried both. I get marginally more content via new. A lot of it is what's in hot but in a different order. I'm on boost for lemme if that matters.

I'm subbed to a ton of stuff and my feed dries quickly. Even if I do browse all. I'm also new to the platform, so I'm probably doing something wrong?

And evidently the minority of Americans are sick of Trump's shenanigans, but elections are elections. Here we are.

Obama was a performative a lame duck war criminal who did nothing but authorize the bombing of civilians. Trump damaged the economy and made new enemies. Biden didn't help the economy and was boring and ineffective. We have no good options at the end of the day, which is why I'm absolutely not shocked that Trump won. Like I said, love it or hate it. You get what you deserve.

Pretty sure it's over. This country is filled with idiots, sycophants and the apathetic. We deserve what's coming.
