I thought it was fine enough for scifi. What was the issue?

This is an incredibly important statement. You've perfectly summarized exactly how non-Harris voters felt. The opinions you share in here may or may not be true and the Lemmy population certainly doesn't like hearing it, but this was the thought process that brought trump to office.

Frankly, the way to save America is to attack corporations. Regulate, regulate, regulate, put money back in the hands of the voters. Whoever does this has the vote.

This is exactly the issue. A smaller studio has to distinguish itself with quality work. Disney is a media empire and pretty much a monopoly. They don't need to distinguish themselves from shit. They own dozens, maybe hundreds of networks, services, and production studios across the world and all they need to do is produce the most basic watchable content on enough of a scale to keep viewers subscribed. The high quality shows and movies they produce are the exception, not the rule.

It's time to break up every media empire.

By like 20 orders of magnitude or something

I've been saying this exact same thing. Trump is a raging moron and I fear the intelligent demagogue that follows him more than I fear a second trump presidency (although a second trump term might guarantee the former)

What the fuck does it even mean? It's like buzz word salad

This is a great point correlating gun access with gun violence. It shows that access to firearms is positively correlated with deaths by firearm

Just because he has the Vance vote doesn't mean all 'normal' gays are represented

As a veteran dependent on VA disability benefits, this is deeply troubling

I guess to be more specific, you can request 6 months of your data

I used this exact thing as a teaching aid when I taught the ROTC opsec lesson. Also scared a couple kids pale when I told them Snapchat keeps a 6-month record of everything you send
