I couldn't find a setting to enable gif autoplay. Is it hidden somewhere?

I have enabled video autoplay but the gifs are still not playing.

I'm using eternity v0.1.2 from fdroid.

What are these dotted ball shaped things I circled in yellow in the image?

I thought they may be sea urchin skeletons. Though the things in the image may be too many and too large?

They are in a mural in Brighton, England. The subject is "Protecting Costa Rican Wildlife", so I guess they are of some native species there.

I'm looking for a smart power strip, which allows me to remote control and schedule on/off.

Last year I bought Hey!'s smart power strip. Hey! is a UK brand, but turn out its products are just branded Chinese products. I used it anyway but it just bricked itself last month.

For quality, safety, and security reasons, I would prefer a non-made-in-China smart power strip.

Compatibility with Home Assistant is prefered, but not 100% required. I'm interested in switching to Home Assistant but I haven't yet.

Thanks for any suggestions!

a book store with a café

This is easy because the tags don't overlap.

shop=books
amenity=cafe

a café by day and a wine bar by night

I saw something like this before, and they are usually two businesses with different names. I used two separated POIs (points) placed in the same building area to denote them. In this way, I can also put different names, opening_hours etc to the two POIs.

This is a longstanding issue that wheelmap knew and promised to solve.

Some info from the OSM talk mailing list.

sauce rule (otakukart.com)

In this information era, some of the few people who are resilient against fake news are the weebs. They're always asking for sauce. Be like weebs.

My posts and comments to feddit.uk communities aren't going through. I can only see the posts and comments on this instance but not on feddit.uk.

For example, this post doesn't appear in https://feddit.uk/c/brighton

Is there any technical problem or is one defederated with another?

At least you're not rewarded with more ads.

Use Newpipe. It plays youtube (and several video sites') videos without any ads nor trackings. No Google account needed.

Install it and set it as the app for opening youtube links in system settings.

Note that the app is not available in Google Play store. It can be installed from f-droid, or you can directly download its apk.

Livestream of a barn owl family in the UK by Somerset Wildlife Trust.

For the past three years, our barn owl box in the Blackdown Hills has been inhabited by our barn owl couple - Finn and Trude - and the previous two years Finn and his other lady owl, Orla.

We are so delighted that Finn and Trude have hatched 4 fabulous owlets this year. They are on the brink of fledging so we're expecting a bit of a barn owl circus in the barn as they flap about finding their wings to venture out on their own.

Oh, interesting. Is there a name for this?

I've heard there are tiny sculptures made for scraping mud off shoes. Didn't know it can be built into the entrance.

Hong Konger (technically Chinese) here. We usually consider it a dish of its own. I myself used to order a fried rice, without any other dishes, as lunch all the time.

But keep in mind Chinese cuisines are traditionally shared by many people. There is little to no concept of entree vs side dish. It's common to order many dishes, including fried rice, put on a big table and everyone get everything a little bit.
