Both. The letter 'O' and the number zero look similar, and it's half the syllables making it easier when reading out a string of numbers. Like how saying "World wide web" is less syllables to pronounce than "www".

Sorry to use your test community. Was requested to add alt text support to Tesseract and I need an instance that's newer than my own and has a test community federated to it. Please mod if the post delete I issue after this does not federate :)

Awesome. If you want (I tried, and can't since that one is a "higher mod" than this one), you can un-mod my LW account. Since there's sometimes significant federation delay from LW, prob better to not be tempted to issue mod actions from there.
Sorry for the back/forth on that. I was under the impression that the cross-instance moderation had improved in recent versions.
Mostly the wire services (Reuters, AP) and some reputable sources that don't try to spin things one way or another (NPR, BBC, ProPublica)
