When the opposition is trying to end democracy so it can have free rein to do whatever it likes, sometimes you have to. This isn’t a polite disagreement about convoluted economic theories, they want to eliminate large segments of our population and their supporters are already violent. At some point they are going to stop busing foreigners to different cities and start gunning them down. They likely aren’t going to be too gentle with LGBTQ populations when they work to eliminate them. They are already controlling what kind of medical care women have access to and they will probably find more ways to restrict women’s lives to promote their ideas of Christian morality. Women are already being told they have to be at death’s door to have their miscarriages treated, this situation is currently at the point of being a life and death issue for many people when the christofascists have barely started taking control.

Incarceration doesn’t disqualify candidates. Eugene Debs ran for president from prison in 1920 and won 3.5% of the vote.

You’ve lost Fox News viewers at “(not all, obviously)”. Nuance isn’t allowed, people can’t be varied and have different interests within a particular group. All sneakers are the same, so Trump shoes equal grandpa’s New Balance shoes equals shoes from the latest brand collaboration with a celebrity that isn’t Trump.

The point is that it would be better as a nightmare that never truly happened instead of our present reality.

They would share some with state parties to get rid of never Trumpers in their party

Approximately 2% of the buildings in the city where I grew up were built before 1922. You can’t expect everyone in a city to be able to fit into 2% of its buildings, even if you convert all the non-residential buildings in that age range into residential buildings. Hardly anybody could be bothered to live out here before air conditioning was available so the whole region is new construction.

If your partner is going to bully you while you are trying to learn a game, they are a lousy partner. It isn’t cooperative games that are the problem. I have a partner and several friends who all love cooperative games and are patient with anyone new to the game, I’ve never had issues with them being a jerk to newcomers. The more people you can welcome into learning and playing a game you like, the more likely you will have someone available to join you when you feel like having a game day. The best person to get into a game you enjoy is your partner who you likely spend most of your time with anyway, they are the number one best source of having someone to play with so long as you have some overlapping interests in games.

When I was young I only read fiction, but as I got older I realized reality is incredibly complex and disturbing and found non-fiction far more interesting. So much of the past remains relevant today and there are no shortage of times real people have not only imagined but also implemented ways to exploit each other and their environments, for good and for bad, often in ways that do come across as utterly crazy, so it is hardly a boring category. These days I would rather make sense of the world I am in than some fictional universe. I do like British humor though.

Multiple participants from The People’s Convoy joined the Take Our Border Back convoy, it was a bit of a mini-reunion for them. I have been keeping an eye on several since they attempted to copycat the Ottawa occupation. Three livestreamers who participated in both convoys recently were featured in Wired for trying to make money through YouTube by streaming their harassment of migrants all along the border after TOBB concluded. I wouldn’t exactly call them unrelated since there was a lot of overlap between the groups, but it was disingenuous to portray the TPC turnout as TOBB since this border convoy was much smaller.

Romney is a never Trumper, this wasn’t the last straw. He is one of the few Republicans in office who has been calling Trump out on all his shady past and present ever since he started campaigning for the 2016 election.
