I've never played a Bethesda game and unfortunately Starfield isn't going to change that (at least in its current form). Based on gameplay footage and reviews I'd rather just stick with No Man's Sky. NMS seems to do the space exploration better and can already scratch that itch for me. The loading screens and fast travel are off putting enough that Starfield doesn't seem worth my time. The only feature that draws me to the game at all is the ship builder.

Still had a running PS plus sub but its time to cancel. Got sick of ads and unremovable apps on my PS4 which continued to get worse over time. PS5 is the first PlayStation I will not own because of the increased monetization and ads. Give me a console that plays games and media and does nothing else or fuck off. My PC doesn't have these issues because I'm in control.

Maybe the web results when searching in the start menu? This was previously a local only search and is now a severely degraded experience out of the box. I used reg keys to disable the web search feature long ago and return the prior functionality.

It's unfortunate that MMOs and competitive games generally have poor linux support. Mostly because of anticheats. It's the only reason I still have windows on my gaming PC.

I don't know how you can come to the conclusion that an OS with ads, bloatware, and updates which restart your computer without user input (even when actively using it) is "solid." Windows 10 is garbage by default and only just usable after debloat and tuning at best.

Went to an AMC theater recently after not going to one for years. I waited through about 30 minutes of forced ads before the movie started. The "shut off your cell phone warning" was about 10-15 min early. Guess I'm prepared to show up later than the advertised times in the future and skip it, but can't say I want to go back.

This was beautiful and totally unsurprising.
