Musk wasn't ever going to go through with it. He was hoping Zuckerberg would decline and then he'd look like the big tough guy, but it fell apart when Suck called his bluff so now he just looks (even more) foolish.

I would love to see this happen but I suspect that the number of users who actually install ad blocker extensions and are willing to switch to a new browser once they stop working is fairly insignificant compared to the total numbers of people browsing in Chrome.

I haven't deleted my account but it's been dormant for a while. I guess at some point it'll get deleted if I don't touch it, which... fine, I guess.

This is when spells that require saving throws come in handy

My kids only have one set of grandparents active in their lives, my parents (who are fortunately very active and great with them). My wife's mother died before we even met so of course the kids never knew her either. And her dad is just kind of an asshole, she put up with him for years but when he started being mean to me in front of the kids she decided she was done - she didn't want to risk him being mean to them. It's not even maliciously mean he just thinks it's funny to insult people and gets butthurt when people "can't take a joke".

The only person in either of our families who is a regular consumer of FOX news is her grandpa (her Dad's stepfather), and he's truly one of the sweetest and most loving people I've ever met. He just lives in rural Indiana and that's what they watch there.

Add in a dash of autistic hyperfocus and you can in fact teach yourself enough to get the project done.

Doesn't mean you WILL get it done of course.

Yeah, benzos are not too be fucked with but saying they have no medical purpose is just flat out wrong

The basic problem with AI is that it can only learn from things it reads on the Internet, and the Internet is a dark place with a lot of racists.

Looks pretty rad to me

Yamaha often gets overlooked for instruments, I think a lot of this is that we don't expect a company that makes jetskis and motorcycles to also know what they're doing with guitars, saxophones, and pianos, but they actually make good quality stuff.

It's more accurate to think of Yamaha as a conglomerate that owns several different companies. It's just that a lot of those smaller companies are also named Yamaha

Fun fact, the Yamaha logo is an image of three tuning forks, laid atop each other.
