I started using Lemmy in June after reddit announced plans to use an API access fee as an excuse to force people to use their official app by pricing 3rd party apps out of existence. However, I'm still on reddit until they get rid of old.reddit so most of my Lemmy use is limited to the time when I would've been browsing Apollo. For that purpose, there's enough activity to keep me entertained but unfortunately I think the userbase is a bit too small to be a full reddit replacement. I have confidence things will get busier here though. Reddit will undoubtedly shoot themselves in the foot several more times as they make unpopular changes before the IPO and each one will lead to another wave of reddit refugees.

To be fair, I do suck at hunting. So my cat's got a point.
