Great, thank you. So you just add them to the steam library, that's what I suspected honestly. Where can you find the option to show in VR library?

I am buying a VR Headset to play games. I don't know if I'll buy a standalone or PCVR headset, but if I were to buy a standalone like the Meta Quest 3, having the possiblity of connecting to PC is a must.

I was wondering though how can you actually play pirated VR games. Does it work the same way as normal games where you just execute it and that's it? I am asking mainly because of platforms like SteamVR, which some reviews on VR headsets I have watched make it seem like it is a mandatory thing to have if you want to play games, but playing pirated games is something else entirely.

Currently limited to 60. Without in-driver-afmf active it doesn't go higher that that.

So I downloaded the new Spiderman 2 port from DODI. And while the gameplay is pretty good, the cutscenes just are making my eyes bleed.

Some characters start t-posing out of nowhere, the audio is out of sync, and they look really bad generally speaking. I have tried changing some settings, but still that doesn't seem to work. My PC has a i5-10400F and 6700xt The only thing I know could cause some issues is maybe that i'm running it on HDD. I can make some space on my normal SSD if there's no other way but I would like to try other things first.

Is there any way to fix this?

Hey, I'm just having this problem which I don't know how to solve, for some reason on my main wifi the phone just won't connect to 5ghz.

In other wifis from friends and family it does, both when connecting to wifis which only have the main SSID and wifis which have 2.4ghz and 5ghz on different SSIDs.

For some reason, the only thing that seems to make it work is changing region to India, resetting wifi and then connecting, but this just gets annoying

I had heard that mediatek devices had network problems, but if it is happening just in some WiFis, what could the problem be?

Is there an explanation on to why does this happen? Is there any way to fix this? Has anyone experienced the same issues? I have custom ROM (EvolutionX unofficial) with magisk and root. But that is not related to the issue, as it happens in every ROM I have tried, and I can't remember if it happened back when I had MIUI installed.

I am looking to buy a phone that has very good performance and great camera. I have found the Xiaomi 12t pro for less than 300€, do you think it's a good purchase? Any phones you would recommend on that prixe range that are better?

I am mainly looking for hardware here, as if I don't like software I can just change it, but having a good os with good features is never bad.

I have been researching a bit and it seems you can use them if you connect to your pc but with the switch mode or something like that.

Is that what you mean?

Hey. I need help. I have installed an unofficial port of crdroid 10, android 14 on my Redmi Note 10 5G along with NikGapps Full.

But every time I open the wallpaper and Styles app, it crashes and gives me this error which seems to be related to some "weather class"?

On the maintainer's device and some other people it works perfectly,.as I have asked on the support group, but they can't seem to help me.

Does anyone understand what the crash log actually means? Is there anyway I can stop getting the error so that I can customize the phone fully?

I just have one problem with the 8bitdo.

If you go to the website, I can see it says "motion controls (switch only)" and I don't know if I should be worried about that considering I want to play emulated switch games ON PC

EDIT: and about the variations, thanks for pointing that out, I was aware of the Ultimate C existed and I did supposed it was some sort of "lite" version. But thanks anyways

I am searching for a controller to play emulated switch games on my pc. My requirements are motion controls, good build quality and responsiveness, and preferably hall effect sticks to make the controller last longer avoiding drift.

Some of the options I have: GameSir T4 Cyclone Pro - 47€ GameSir G4 Pro - 48€ 8bitdo Ultimate - 50€ GuliKit King Kong 2 - 5X€ GuliKit King Kong 2 Pro - 60€

And are there any controllers for the sub 50€ price range which are better? All the ones I have mentioned are on that price on aliexpress, except for the GuliKit ones which are a bit higher but if they are REALLY worth it I might stretch a bit more...

I found all of this options in the official aliexpress stores of those brands. Which have great prices compared to other stores.

Hey. I want to buy a phone. My priorities are: camera >>>> performance >> battery

I found the Mi 11 refurbished (excellent condition) for that price which I thing is VERY good for a phone that was a flagship and the camera seems to be EXCELLENT.

Is there a better phone I can buy for that price? (Highest I can go is 250/300€) If possible, it should have custom ROM support (so probably Snapdragon cpu).

I live in Spain. I recommend looking at prices in kimovil.

Hey. I am planning to buy the Xiaomi Mi 11, I found it for 300€ and I think there's just not a better phone for this price range, but software is a problem. I want to install a custom ROM and that obviously means losing access to official camera and the full 108mp mode.

Is there a way to use this full quality on a gcam port? Maybe there's another camera app which has similar processing to the famous almighty processing if the google camera but that allows me to shoot in 108mp (if I want). Also recording in 8K 30 frames and 4K 60 frames won't be a problem right?

I will install custom ROM anyways. MIUI is trash. So that's not an issue, I doubt they exist yet but once this phone comes into western market (if it ever does) I will obviously install pixel experience of maybe even graphene (with google).

EDIT: Also, I know a Pixel 7 Pro would probably be much better. But 250€ for those specs if just awesome. That's my budgets so the better phone I can get with that price the better, and I don't know what to get for that price.

Yeah I know. This phone, Redmi K70e is also Redmi Note 13 pro+ buuuut now I think it is also Poco X6 like wtf

[–] Sasori323@lemmy.dbzer0.com 6 points 11 months ago (3 children)

I don't know what is that but I suppose it's related to "spying from china government". So I will use a custom ROM anyways so it's not a concern...

Hey. I was just looking for curiosity the official china xiaomi store. And I saw the Redmi Note 13 Pro+, it seems to be a great phone with 12gb of RAM and 512GB of storage, 200MP camera (I know that doesn't determine how good the photos will be) for just 2099 yuans which is approximately 250€, and I was wondering, is it even possible to buy this china only phones for such a great price and import them to europe?

The Redmi Note 13 Pro+ is actually more "westernized" than the rest of the K70 series (the name that it recieves in china) as it even has a western name and I swear I have seen youtube channels who have this phone. (Though if this is doable and someone wants to try, if you look at the K70 Pro you will see an option for 24GB of RAM and 1TB of storage for 4099 yuans which is an amazing price for those specs).

I know aliexpress exists and I was able to find the phone but for prices a bit higher and the best price I was able to find was on alibaba for around 210€, I would consider buying on aliexpress but unless someone convinces me of the contrary I wouldn't buy on Alibaba.

But then the boot.img is recovery? I just flash it and then sideload the .zip file? Just understand I don't want to lose my phone and it's the first time I do this i'm a bit nervous.

[–] Sasori323@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 11 months ago* (last edited 11 months ago) (2 children)

Hey sorry to bother you again. I was doing the process now, and just to make sure. The Pixel Experience recovery I need to install, are you sure it's the boot.img? I was seeing some tutorials before and I see that boot.img and recovery.img are different files. What should I do? The ROM you provided doesn't have a recovery.img

EDIT: I don't know, I find a lot of inconsistencies between the build on github and the tutorial. It doesn't tell me anything about the boot.img, my device has a/b partitios so I don't know what I have to flash. I think i'll just try with xiaomitool v2

Ok thank. In this case the DLCs are just for unlocking some things which you (in certain cases) and other people who already unlocked them can already use them (it's multiplayer). It's not some "expansion* type dlc. So I guess I don't need to install them separately anyways.

Also, I just realized this. It seems with GreenLuma you can also download games. One of the problems of downloading cracked software is that you can't play multiplayer in most of them, if I were to add them through GreenLuma, would I be able to?

[–] Sasori323@lemmy.dbzer0.com 10 points 11 months ago

In Spain we say "Quién hambre tiene, en pan piensa" which basically translates to something like "if you think of bread it's because you're hungry" wink

[–] Sasori323@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 points 11 months ago* (last edited 11 months ago) (3 children)

I see, seems like an option. Though there seems there's multiple ways of installation? Which one should I do?

And what actually is GreenLuma? It's interesting. How does it work? How do I use it?

EDIT: Also, while looking at some tutorials I saw that you need the game files to install things. Does that also happen with the DLCs? I have looked through csrinru but I can't find any clean files, only a cracked version.

Hey, I am trying to unlock DLCs for NtB:Shinobi Strikers which has Easy Anti Cheat.

I followed the steps for unlocking listed in AutoCreamApi in csrinru. But when launching the game I get an EAC error telling something of unrecognized dll and essentially doesn't let me boot up the game. Also the DLCs don't appear in the Steam Page so I guess I did something wrong? Or maybe EAC will just not let me? I tried with the "bypassing game-specific protection" option ticked but still doesn't work.

Any ideas how to bypass this? Did I do sth wrong?

Currently I have a Redmi Note 10 5G (codename camellia/n)

This is a very low end smartphone. And a very important problem has to do with it. MIUI is not great. I just don't like the optimizations they do by just killing any process I have in the background ruining the experience of use. And it falls behind others when it comes to personalization which is very important to me.

I want to install crdroid which is one of the few roms which are available for my device (at least officially). But I have many problems.

First, I need to do all of this without root and without any custom recovery as my phone doesn't support any. I am going to install the ROM through Xiaomitool V2 because it makes the process a lot more intuitive and easy at least for me. (I have absolute 0 knowledge on adb).

Then there's Gapps, I need to flash them as I rely on them a lot and I also need it so I can restore the google one backup once I install the ROM. But without a custom recovery I have no idea how to do it.

Last, please give detailed instructions. I have no idea how adb (which I suppose is the only way to do what I'm trying) commands work, what each of them does etc

Sorry for the long text and thank you.

I currently have a Redmi note 10 5G. It has 4gb + 3gb of RAM (RAM extension feature) which is not even that bad.

But still for some reason my system just feels bad in general. Apps just stop working when in background which is really annoying when I need to multitask. I have seen phones with the same ram as mine (less if you the 3gb from memory extension) which just work so much better. And I am begging to think it must be something about MIUI.

Will that get any better once Hyper OS comes around? Or do you think I should just install a custom ROM? If the second option is the best, what should I install now that custom roms are not so popular? Also os there any way to install other OSs? I for example like how Huawei's Harmony OS looks, is it even possible?
