Man one time I went to a Primus concert and their light show was just replaying clips from salad fingers...it was the wrong concert to do acid at.

I don't think people realize how far the NRA has gone to block ANY legislation that will reduce gun sales. We have bad gun laws not because of the lack of effort from government, but specifically how much effort the NRA has put in to stop it.

They went bankrupt funding progun policy.

America, after spending an insane level of resources and decades of man power to make someone say a phrase: HA! GOT EM!

That's a list of a bunch of trucks compared to a midsized SUV, so you're kind of proving yourself wrong. Cars are split into weight classes, so a comparison that doesn't acknowledge that isn't very useful. A EV Sedan is on average much heavier than an ICE sedan.

No one's saying ICE vehicles are better for the environment than EVs

You're getting down voted but you're right. I don't think people realize that most tires are now made from synthetic rubber, AKA plastic.

Also someone tried to disprove you by posting a list with ICE trucks being as heavy as EV cars. Like what? Of course trucks are heavier. EV Trucks are even heavier than that and an EV subcompact will be much heavier than an ICE compact. Also everyone is talking about how trucks and SUVs are getting heavier and bigger. So not sure what they mean by "we never talk about this with trucks!"

Anyone still check on Reddit? It's getting pretty conservative over there.

Recommended the book "How to Blow Up a Pipeline" by Andreas Malm so you can explain to your boomer parents why this kind of protest is necessary and why violence against private property is an effective and necessary means of gaining justice.

Show them their out numbered. Make it as uncomfortable as possible for them to express their opinions in public. They believe that they're the silent majority, so if you make them see that they're not, it's something.

Take them seriously. Show them that we're taking them seriously and won't allow them to seize power.

It doesn't. Pointing out the contradictions in fascism doesn't stop fascism because they don't care about contradictionss. They care about enforcing an authoritarian ideology on everyone, and to that end everything is permissable. As long as they're still intent on securing power, their followers don't care. It's not about being right or making sense. It's about seizing power by any means. In a democracy, that means saying whatever bullshit you have to to keep your followers engaged.

Making fun of them for their contradictions does nothing to stop them. Not taking fascist movements seriously and expecting them to go away because their beliefs are silly is what Germany did when Hitler was rising to power. It's not a good strategy.
