This is one of the funniest things I've ever read. Also one of the dumbest things I've ever read coincidentally. But funny!

What a load of absolute horseshit that speech was.

"We'd be well served to remember the long and cherished tradition we have in this country of settling our political differences at the ballot box. For nearly two and a half centuries our nations elected officials have properly resisted the temptation to oppose their political rivals through the weaponization of our justice system".

First of all plenty of Congresspeople, Senators, Governors and lower politicians have been tried, and sometimes convicted, for crimes before. So he's full of shit on that point. Second Republicans did endless investigations of Hillary Clinton and found no law breaking, but they definitely tried their hardest. Third although every President since at least since Eisenhower has been guilty of war crimes Trump is the first to do garden variety white collar crimes. Of course he's the first to be charged with them! Fuck this guy.

The kid was a bit funny though.

And their profit base. They want right wingers in control because they tax them less, but they don't want a religious dark era either. They want to sell lots of shit to lots of people preferably on credit.

Why shouldn't she have tweeted? Seems she is getting positive results! Good for her.

The deep state are all looking at each other and saying, "WTF, it had nothing to do with drag queens. We just didn't want this idiot destroying our investments".

If you're driving down the road and someone throws shit in your face from the sidewalk can you just not roll up the window? If so, just use the tools that you have.

Nah, the proper tool is to ban people like you.

Realistically they are losing the lease on the building they rent and some mediocre recording equipment, maybe some dumb neon signs. He could run his shitty podcast from his bedroom if he wanted to. He's whining like they are forcing him into silence, but this won't even cover the teeniest fraction of what he owes the people whose lives he tried to destroy. Fuck him. Way harder.

That doesn't solve the problem.

“When you to tell someone to ‘just mute comms’ to avoid harassment, you are essentially putting the harassed person in a position to not communicate,” said Donlon. “To compromise how they want to play the game to accommodate you.”

“Competitive games need to have room for banter. We believe this, and I do understand the fear that we will sanitise gaming by ‘over-addressing’ these issues,” Donlon continued. “We have no interest in doing that. But we do believe that a person should not have to be in a position to ‘grow a thicker skin’ or whatever other unhelpful suggestions have been thrown out there just to avoid threats of violence or literal hate-speech.”

It seems all you are trying to accomplish in this thread is to let assholes continue to ruin the experience for others by forcing the victims into silence. No, ban the assholes instead. Easy solution.

You'd think they learned their lesson from abortion, which is going to kick their asses this year at the voting booth, but nooooo they want to piss off more women by taking away their right to get out of shitty, abusive marriages. They live in a weird ass bubble where they think they are the majority on these issues but they are far from it.
