Too much upside down cake perhaps?

Yeah, I just finished building a roller door with my son. Doesn’t look as good as the ones in the video though.

I love Bean! But I just noticed a fairly reproducible crash.

I was trying to edit one of my posts from about a week ago to provide an update on the post. I browsed to the post from my profile page, selecting “Comments” to navigate to it (nothing appears under Posts for me).

Once I was at the post page, I selected “Edit post” and the app crashes.

I can reproduce this every time. Not sure if relevant, but it was a text-only post.

Not a biggie - just thought I’d mention it in case you weren’t aware.

Thanks for the amazing work on this app.

A while back, I came off my scooter and damaged the front-fork. I got the fork replaced at the store where I bought it, but ever since there has been a fair amount of float / movement in the steering stem (and no, it is not movement in the folding/locking mechanism as so many YouTube videos indicate).

I finally disassembled it today to investigate, and discovered that the front fork is floating in the steering bearings. The front fork stem diameter is 28.8mm and the steering bearings inner diameter is 30.3mm. So the whole front fork is rattling around inside the steering bearings.

It seems to me that either the shop has installed the wrong fork, or that there is a ring (or similar) missing. Either I need to replace the fork with one with a slightly larger diameter, or the steering bearings need replacing with something of slight smaller diameter, or there is some sort of sleeve that needs to sit over the fork shaft inside the bearing.

Does anyone have any experience with the front-fork / steering bearing repairs on a Ninebot Max G30P? And can confirm what the correct dimensions should be of the front-fork stem and inner steering bearings?

UPDATE: I ended up buying a new steering bearing off of eBay (this one: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/374858665061?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=705-154756-20017-0&ssspo=1wl-oboltaa&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=thrFUY1ySje&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY).

Turns out the two silver rings (shown in the eBay listing pic) were the bits missing. Adding those to sit inside the top steering bearing… and the scooter feels like it is brand new again!

I was staying at a hotel once, and there was a network in range called "YouNeedSecurityBadly"

I love this app so far, but one thing I really miss from using Apollo is how much could be done by simple gestures.

Can you please add the ability to close post images with a swipe gesture?

I find I have to tap on an image once or twice to make the “X” appear, so I close it (after I have habitually tried to swipe it to close a few times)

I think the main thing I like is that it fits so seamlessly within my workflow. I can customize the functions I use to happen the way I want them to.

It has the same functions as the default app:

  • ability to take screenshots of all or part of a screen (with/without timer)
  • ability to take a screen recording of all or part of a screen (with/without a timer)

But it also provides options for:

  • adding simple markup to your screenshot (lines/arrows/text/squares etc). As a developer, I often want to take a screenshot and add a bit of text or an arrow to highlight something to someone I'm trying to explain something to
  • ability to do scrolling screen captures
  • recording in MP4
  • trimming screen recording videos
  • removing or including audio in screen recording videos
  • recording animated GIFs instead of video
  • reducing resolution (for filesize) after capture
  • hide desktop icons during screen capture
  • change/hide desktop background wallpaper during capture
  • options to customize shortcut keys for various operations, or customize workflow (for example I like screenshots to be automatically added to my clipboard after capture or markup so I can immediately paste in whatever chat I'm having with colleagues)
  • options for keeping a history of screenshots/recordings
  • options (I don't use) for cloud share/storage

CleanShot X is great for screenshots and screen recordings, and markup of them.

Wait wuh! Strawberries aren't berries? What is this heresy?

Yes.

I use this website to find other communities that I might be interested in.

https://browse.feddit.de/

Then you can search for the community using the Lemmy web interface or whatever client app you use (I assume it’s Voyager).

I’m not 100% sure, but I think you need to type the community you want to search for, in the form:

!community_name@instance_name

On Voyager/wefwef (and probably other apps) it seems to work if I leave the “!” off.

You can browse the community, and subscribe to it from there.

Note: if the instance you’re signed into, doesn’t have anyone who is already subscribed to that community/instance, then it might take a little while, as your instance is searching the various instances it federates with to find the community…. So be patient. If you subscribe to it, of course, then it’s much faster (at least that’s my crude understanding).

Thanks. That article was great. I feel like I’ve been cooking pasta all wrong, for all these years.
