Hanging out with the wrong crowd? It's my family. And about half of them aren't even Republicans. If anything, THEY hang out with the wrong crowd. And considering that you make guns such a large part of your identity, even making it a regular social interaction, I have a hard time believing that you'll look at it from anyone else's perspective. I especially doubt your ability to judge who should and shouldn't have a gun, because you literally go to clubs full of people and judge their ability to responsibly own a gun off of their social skills, which for many people is a facade they create to seem normal. I doubt that the guy who's excited to kill people is talking about it like that at club time. And my problem isn't just intent. My problem with my family, specifically, is that they're all a bunch of scared little bitches who are going to shoot at the first thing that scares their precious little baby asses. And I've met a shitload of fearful gun owners. I grew up in the South. Saying you've only met a dozen, means that you don't pay attention, you excuse more than you should, or you're just lying.

In my experience, overly fearful people that get terrified over nothing are the primary audience for gun ownership. The mindset it takes to responsibly own and carry a gun is RARE.

I have 60+ year old relatives that suddenly all decided they wanted a gun, just because one of them bought one and won’t shut up about the confidence it gives her. She literally bought it just to walk to and from her car, which is parked directly in front of the business SHE owns, despite there being absolutely zero crime happening in her parking lot, and not bothering to set up security cameras. She literally bought a gun because she was afraid of a non-existent problem, and made no non-violent effort to correct the issue. I’m waiting for her to shoot some poor homeless person asking for change…

If owning a gun makes you confident, then you’re a scared little baby. Especially the guys with big trucks that drive like they’re trying to provoke people. I KNOW you have a gun. You bought the little dick pride set, so there’s no way you don’t have a gun. Quit trying to make excuses to pull it out. Pussies. FYI, I’m driving slow in front of you BECAUSE you’re driving like an ass hole and riding my bumper. Wave your gun at me again. I do not care.

Then install Linux FOR FREE on a Windows PC and stop whining. I used Best Buy as an example. I highly doubt Chromebooks aren't available in your area. This is a list of every place that Chromebooks are sold, according to Google: "North America, United States, Canada, Mexico, Europe, UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Sweden, Austria, Rest of Europe, Asia Pacific, China, S Korea, Japan, India, Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, Taiwan, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Rest of APAC.

You just wanted to complain and you know it. Educate yourself and stop spreading propaganda for Linux. Linux doesn't need your help.

I suppose you'd prefer the orange traitor that gives out classified documents to our enemies. Getting hung up on Biden's son when Trump is a very literal traitor to our country and handing out classified documents, is asinine.

And no, I don't think shitting on Boebert's son is necessary. I'm tired of the hit-pieces on people's families. She's a dumpster fire without any help. Sounds like her son is the one that needs help.

It's crazy how "No one drives" and "there's too much traffic" can be a part of the same sentence, and still be correct.

There's literally a Chromebook section at Best Buy. The point couldn't be more wrong. Quit complaining about non-existent problems just so you can make anti-Windows propaganda. It's shameful.

Microsoft is not dominating the PC market like you think they are. Nowadays, if you’re in school, and the school tells you to use a computer, it’s probably going to be a Chromebook. Google has made it much cheaper for enterprises and schools to afford chromebooks, by giving them deals and building protocols that would specifically be useful in a school or work environment, and in some cases, forcing students/parents to buy Chromebooks specifically. And more rarely, requiring people to use them at work.

Also, I feel like this whole post completely disregards the existence of Chromebooks in general. They’re Linux computers. And they’re what most of the next generation are learning to use at school, and therefore, what most of them will probably buy when they buy a laptop. You know, assuming they didn’t think it was awful.

Nobody is forcing you to buy a computer with Windows pre-installed on it. People just enjoy hating on Windows. You basically can’t use Linux without having enough know-how to install it yourself anyway. Just delete Windows. Or is the Linux gang really just looking for every little thing to complain about? I think that’s what it is. You guys should spend more time pointing out why Linux should be the status quo, instead of complaining about the current status quo. It gets you nowhere with people who use Windows, and the Apple people laugh at you. So you’re essentially just circle jerking your favorite penguin. Why? Windows didn’t steal your girl. It's an alternative. Buy a laptop that doesn't have an operating system on it, if you're so upset about it. They exist. It took me less than a minute to Google it. Want Linux on it? Buy a Chromebook. The world already conforms to you, and yet you still complain.

Don't worry. Unless I meet some very nice Swedish gal, it doesn't seem like I'd be able to move there, anyway.

Sweden sounds better and better every day.

Don't go on the internet calling people ableist, and then claim that other people are being condescending. You're the condescending one. You got all hung up on the way someone said one thing, and then wrote an entire novel in response, basically pointing out that you somehow have no idea what you're arguing over.

The only real argument you seem to have made, was that it's difficult for you to get in and out of buildings that weren't built more recently. And that has absolutely nothing to do with the argument that is going on right now. It's a problem, yeah... But not at all what we're talking about.

Nobody who you replied to is saying that we should get rid of cars. And the only way your arguments make any sense to me, is if I assume that you think that's what would happen. As a car fanatic who enjoys working on vehicles, I don't enjoy the car hate. But I very rarely see people say that we should straight up get rid of all cars. They just seem to want more people to take public transit. There are some people who seem to demonize cars entirely, and to those people I say, CHILL. We got to this point because cars seemed like the answer to all our transportation needs. And for a long time, we were right. You don't have to be so hateful about the way things are, when talking about how they can be better. Your attitude isn't convincing any of the old people that hold all the power. You seem like upset children to them, and everyone you're trying to convince, because you behave like one when you say things like "Cars are ruining our society". No. Lobbyists that make sure the agenda doesn't change to anything actually helpful, are what's ruining our society. Though, I can't speak for anyone outside of America.
