First I want to say hello, I have only 3 lovely chickens to start off with as I learn the ropes.

Secondly, my neighbours son is absolutely obsessed with the chickens. It's really nice, but he is also feeding them huge amounts of wild bird seed and I'm a little worried. There are mounds of the stuff being poured over the fence!

I have spoken to his parents nicely and asked them to stop him doing so, which they understand.

In case this doesn't get resolved quickly, is there any danger that this can cause harm to my chickens?

I can already see people saying you don't have to worry if you don't fuck monkeys.

She could avoid all this unpleasantness by fucking off for good instead of clinging onto relevance. She deserves worse, but I absolutely love this banner.

This got a laugh, which is surprising because the original story horrified me.

Judges ruled that they do not have the procedural authority to withdraw the execution order at this time.

I'm going to suggest the system might not work.

Any idea what this is? Many leaves are dying on the plant, wondering if there is a way to save it. I have forgotten the name of the plant, but will update when I find it.

Edit Ctenanthe Lubbersiana - thanks @squeezeyerbawdy

I have a dreamcatcher which I thought had a dying leaf or something, but it looks like this could be something like seeds!? There is a second pod which isn't open to the left in the picture.

I don't really know what it is but I'm excited about it. My other aglaonema hasn't grown at all in 2 years!

This is step 86 in the plan. Step 87 is make people pay for the previously free service

Conversation with ex girlfriend:

Her: I just got my car back from the garage. They told me to keep an eye on the tyre wear, but I don't really know what that means or how to do it.

Me: I can show you how to do that if you like?

Her: I don't need you to mansplain things to me! MAN KNOW CAR THING, WOMAN NO DO.

I stopped myself from correcting her interpretation of mansplaining, because it was clear that any man was forbidden from communicating normally with her.

I bought a set of three carbon steel pans, and they are amazing. Is this allowed here? They are 99% iron I think.

They are lighter than a full iron pan but you still season them in the same way.

I have had an iron pan dedicated to meat cooking for a few years now, but I'm not sure it will get much use now.

These are new pans, so I'll have to see how they last, but I'm very optimistic.

I get that until recently it was considered normal and relatively cheap, but you are literally paying someone else to make food for you.

It can't be sustainable without exploitation of workers and/or animal welfare to have that available to the majority of people on a regular basis.

If you can only afford fast food as a luxury, to me that seems like a good thing.

Imagine being sat at the really long table with Putin, saying how the mission to burn down an IKEA in Lithuania was a great success.

Strange cropping and weird white patch on the pair programming tile. Is this cutting out a signature or watermark, or is this OC?

[-] Luvs2Spuj@lemmy.world 35 points 5 months ago

Now do the other billionaires.

More seriously though, this is fucked up.

I understand how you are feeling, and nothing I can tell you today is going to be able to change that.

As a non USA resident, I didn't know who this was. Before I read the post that was the name I had in my head.

Sorry for the poor quality / lack of screenshot, this is from my work computer which I isolate from my personal devices, so I just took a picture.

I love that people are out of the loop on this. The headline becomes 1000x better.

I was given a Montsera(?) cutting and I don't really know if this leaf is too wrinkled? It's a minefield trying to read about and understand if I have over or under watered. I just don't know what this plant actually wants.

My usual approach is to assume I have over watered if a plant looks unhappy, but I don't know if these bounce back after a period of under watering, if I hold back on watering more now.

Hiding posts? (lemmy.world)

I might have missed it somewhere, but is it possible to hide posts here. I like to hide popular posts once I am done seeing or engaging with them.

With the lower traffic here, I think this would especially help with finding new content.
