House Republicans, and a few dozen House Democrats, passed the “Laken Riley Act,” which would require the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to detain illegal aliens like Jose Antonio Ibarra, who is accused of kidnapping and murdering Laken Riley in Athens, Georgia.

On February 22, 22-year-old nursing student Laken Riley was found murdered in a wooded area on the University of Georgia campus after she had gone for a morning run. The following day, Ibarra from Venezuela was arrested and charged with her murder.

President Joe Biden is to announce that the US military will construct a port in Gaza to get more humanitarian aid into the territory by sea, senior US officials say.

The temporary port will increase the amount of humanitarian assistance to Palestinians by "hundreds of additional truckloads" per day, officials say.

However, it will not include US troops on the ground in Gaza, they said.

The UN warns that a quarter of the population is on the brink of famine.

A recent Harvard-Harris survey discovered that six out of ten individuals harbor doubts regarding President Joe Biden’s mental acuity.

The survey posed the question, “Do you believe Joe Biden is mentally capable of fulfilling his duties as President of the United States, or do you have reservations about his ability to do so?”

A majority, 59 percent, expressed uncertainty about Biden’s mental fitness, in contrast to 41 percent who did not share such concerns. Notably, the survey highlighted that nearly one-third of Democrats, totaling 32 percent, harbor reservations about Biden’s cognitive abilities, while 66 percent of independents hold similar doubts.

The state of New York is sending the National Guard, State Police, and MTA cops into New York City subways, so commuters “feel safe” amid a leadership failure by the mayor that has devastated the city.

New York Gov. Kathy Hochul (D) announced Wednesday that she would deploy state law enforcement to the Big Apple subway network, as well as “teams of mental health workers,” to “help commuters and visitors to the city feel safe,” according to the New York Times.

Almost two years after she began having migraines, blurry vision and facial numbness, she found out she had an acoustic neuroma — a type of brain tumour — and it had grown to three centimetres in diameter.

"I was like, 'oh my God.' Then it really kind of hit me," she said in an interview with The St. John's Morning Show.

Now, the St. John's chiropractor and mother of three is facing major brain surgery, which she believes could have been avoided if she had been able to get an MRI when her symptoms first developed almost two years ago.

The idyllic shores of Jupiter Inlet Colony have become a battleground against nature's relentless assault. The once once-pristine beaches, coveted for their exclusivity and luxury, now stand ravaged by relentless erosion, triggering a cascade of chaos and concern among residents and officials.

Steep drop-offs, some towering 10 feet, now mark the Jupiter Inlet Colony landscape, creating perilous hazards for unwary beachgoers. At high tide, the ocean mercilessly engulfs stairways and severs beach access points.

Mayor Ed Hocevar paints a dire picture, citing a "substantial loss of property and significant threat to public safety." Homes once nestled along the shoreline now teeter on the brink of significant damage, their once-grand features swallowed by the relentless advance of the sea.

But amid the chaos, a glimmer of hope emerges as town officials rally to confront the crisis head-on. Plans to replenish the beleaguered shores with 10,000 cubic yards of sand and extend a granite barrier wall offer a beacon of resilience in the face of adversity.
