A good middle ground is emby. I've been using it for a couple years now and it's been solid.
Because the joystick caused the controllers to keep drifting off the table. They decided to go retro after that so they didn't have to deal with joycon drift with absolute surety. CT scans are not cheap to run when you keep having to redo them when the drift happens.
I've been using it off and on for a few months now. Very stable these days and really becoming quite nice! Highly recommend it to all my friends who knows what docker is and how to use it xD

Hot dang has this been a long time coming and from the looks of it did they knock it out of the park. I have yet to even install it but have been looking over everything new, including pro.

Growing up my family would get a box of bagel dogs every once in a while. To my teenage self those were just about the best thing ever.
I'm fine with that personally, it takes a lot of hours to develop features. They have to make money somehow if they want to make it more than just a side project. Jellyfin last I played (1-2 years ago) with wasn't where Emby much less Plex is. Missing a lot of features I grew dependant on. Been itching to try it again since Jellyfin January on the Self Hosted podcast tho.
