Because I’m trying to avoid devoting mind space to things that only make me angry, I’d like to ask, is it worth looking them up? Or will they just make me lose slightly more faith in humanity?

Disregarding everything else, what’s a pod bro? Like vape pod? A fan of the dolphins? Ugly storage enthusiast?

This is potentially the grimmest perspective I’ve ever read. I don’t think you’re wrong, either.

Tony hawk gazes upon the mountains before him. The pale mountains of Switzerland, in the multilingual country of Switzerland, located near the center of Europe. The peaks before him, Swiss mountains of the country of Switzerland in a region predominantly speaking German, beckoned him. He loaded his skateboard underneath his arm and ambled toward the mass of earth that he would make his.

The journey was long and rife with Italian and German-speaking Swiss pointing out his appearance, but he broke free of their eyes and ankles and climbed to the summit. As he slid the skateboard out from beneath his sensuous arm, he awakened. In one fluid motion, he dropped and mounted the board, riding down the mountain like a man in fire, breaking the language barrier as he shrieked affirmations of his identity in hypoxic confusion. Each of his limbs were found in separate lingual regions, leading the world to posthumously dub him “Switzerland’s Exodia.”

You can’t discount the selfish and hateful as stupid as even the most vile people can be cunning. I’d agree that the median conservative would be less intelligent than the median liberal, but that discludes the folks looking to take from others their money, freedom, and time in order to enrich themselves monetarily or psychologically. Not everything can be Hanlon’s razor’d, sometimes people just enjoy sucking.

>be me now, 35+

>started calling corporate restaurants and ordering takeout about a half hour before close

>always spoof the caller ID to show up as my ex wife

>been doing it for about 3 years

>never pick it up

>gives me a warm fuzzy feeling knowing i gave some young person a free meal and also my ex gets black listed from every restaurant in town

I remember my first experience with voat being a poll discussing whether they should ban child porn. The split was ~90% in favor of banning, 10% against. 10% is concerningly high.

Some context links go to entirely different comment chains as well.

It’s a safe space in the literal sense. They defederated to keep out hate speech cross contamination.

What do you use in lieu of ungodly heaps of butter and cream cheese?

Political stability is reasonable, economy’s unstable, seems uneasy. I get curious every few years and read up.

Seems pretty usable overall, great for midsize loads and the overwhelming majority of personal projects. Given the ubiquity of untouched ultra-capacity vanity trucks, this is an actual reasonable daily driver.

Just checked instances after the hack and noticed that lemmy.world is federated with all of the Lemmygrads. Was it always?
