It's hard to keep remembering, but it is true. Thanks for the smile.
Ugh. Yes. It is horrible how history rhymes sometimes.
Yeah! I love that!!
We cannot eliminate it: we can only learn how to best live with it. Completely denying the primate part of ourselves only makes it more likely to lash out in ways we don't want it to, and it can be kind and loving and good if properly cared for. I completely get where you are coming from, and for a long time I tried to deny the primal part of myself, but I just got sick.
I guess what I am trying to say is that if we want to live with conflict, lust, and overcoming terrible odds, trying to eliminate the primate within us isn't going to accomplish that.
Just like the primate you are, always jumping the gun!
But, yes, so much in the world today can be understood as our technological ability outstripping evolution. Our brains will look at a picture and feel the same feeling as if it was actually there. It is actually kind of amazing there isn't more insanity around when you think about it.
And they wonder why the American colonists told them to fuck off...
While about Algerian Berbers, this article was a good jumping off point for me to learn more about this.
What an adorable little gremlin! I love his style!
That's a really good Sam Jack! It's like you figured out the magic spell that makes him and can do it on command. This one does seem to have more of the energy of the work I saw you do before SJ, so I think that is what you mean by stylized? It's still a faithful rendition of the original, but it has more of its own personality. His shirt is where I see it the most. Thanks for posting; I hope people with actual artistic skill can give you actual feedback.

It's definitely something that you have to grow up with. I was lucky to have an uncle who was obsessed with The Fourth Doctor when I was a child, and my love of the show comes from that. I wish some of the older stuff could be redone: it's unwatchable for many because it was made for an audience who had tiny black and white TVs and a great deal more patience.
