The !atx community seems to be abandoned. I would like to take over the moderation of the ATX community to make it prosper. I contacted the mod to ask about taking over the community, but they have not responded yet. Also, I'm not sure they are getting my messages, because the mod shows as banned. The current mod is @Flelk@lemmy.ml.

The mod of a small community I follow appears to be banned from our instance. I really like the community, and I don't want to let it die. Is there a way that I could become the mod for that community?

I tried messaging the old mod, but I haven't gotten a response. He shows as banned, so I don't even know if he's getting my messages.

How can I confirm that the mod is banned from the instance, and they are not moderating the community anymore? Can I take over the moderation of that community? And how?

Thanks in advance!

A widespread Reddit blackout affecting some of the site’s largest communities has continued into its third day with no signs of stopping, as a number of groups on the site vowed to remain closed off indefinitely to protest changes to the platform’s data policies.

Thousands of subreddits went dark to protest Reddit’s new moneymaking idea as profit becomes central to how social media works.

Is it possible to share videos (like mp4) in Lemmy? Does Lemmy have a media player that would play those videos?

I always loved the Ciri parts of the story, and I can't wait to see how she looks like in the next-gen update.

As a fan, I wish Netflix was sticking to canon on The Witcher show, and I'm sad to see Henry leave.
