This app once sparked social changes and political revolutions. People used it to hold the guilty people accountable.

Then Elon bought it with funding from Saudia Arabia and a few others.

Then he made all the cartoonishly wrong changes. Now the app is dying.

It doesn't feel like incompetence to me. It feels like the app was murdered by the rich and the powerful for whom 44B isn't that big of a deal.

Sometimes carbon credits are sold off trees that weren't going to be cut down anyway 😂😂

Wendover has a really great video on carbon offsetting on YouTube and nebula

I want ad free YouTube but don't want YouTube music. I don't want to pay for extra shit that I won't be using.

I use Spotify way more than I use YouTube. Spotify does one thing and it does it extremely well.

If Spotify added unlimited free Uber eats delivery tomorrow and bumped up the price to $20 a month, then sure, it'd be a good deal but I wouldn't want any of that.

That's not even all of the bullshit.

In every other mouse the sensor is at the center of the body. On magic mouse the sensor is at the front under your fingers as you can see in the OP thumbnail.

That makes it very hard to adapt to when you're coming off of other mice. When you're moving the mouse you better not slightly rotate it out of habit and ergonomics because the cursor will move weird.

I really tried giving it a shot because I like apple gestures. They work fabulously well on the trackpad. The magic mouse is garbage in every category really.

I discover the crashed F35 in my lone walk in the woods. As I start to take it apart for parts, a woman catches me. She tells me to stop. It's her father's business. She's Lockheed. I say no. We make love all night. In the morning, the feds come and I escape in one of their uniforms. I tell her to meet me in Mexico, but I go to Canada. I don't trust her. Besides, I like the cold. Thirty years later, I get a postcard. I have a son and he's the chief of FBI. This is where the story gets interesting. I tell Lockheed to meet me in Paris by the Trocadero. She's been waiting for me all these years. She's never taken another lover. I don't care, I don't show up. I go to Berlin. That's where I stashed the F35

I can sort of see the reason behind it. If they're hosting the manual then they can keep it updated (typos/mistakes/changes etc.). Printed manuals can become outdated by the time it reaches the buyer.

What they should've done instead was to include a printed version, and then add a QR code to see the latest version online. That would've been very handy

You simply cant win. People make fun of Xbox fand Windows for having non sequential names, and iPhone gets berated for having a naming scheme that's sensical, easy to follow and date

This is not sad. Progress is progress.

Good on EU to force their hand, we should be cheering for regulatory agencies making life better for consumers.

Hey OP why don't you start by sharing your donation receipts to Lemmy?

These apps cost pocket change considering how expensive life is right now. I can't think of anything else where I get so much value out of so little.

We have to be willing to pay out of pocket to support a competition if we're not happy with the way reddit is making money.

Even if pro subscription carries over I'm still buying it again. Sync was the best android client!
